- 21Shares has rolled out physically backed ETPs for Zcash (ZEC) and ether.fi (ETHFI) across Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris.
- Each vehicle features an annual fee of 2.5%, allowing European investors to gain exposure to ZEC and ETHFI via conventional brokerage accounts.
Crypto issuer 21Shares has introduced a pair of physically backed exchange-traded products for Zcash and ether.fi, enabling European investors to access these digital assets using standard brokerage accounts.
Making their debut on September 22, the 21Shares Zcash ETP (ticker ZCASH) and the 21Shares ether.fi ETP (ticker ETHFI) are now live on Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam. Each fund holds the corresponding underlying tokens directly and charges an annual management fee of 2.5%.
New ETPs Bring ZEC and ETHFI to Traditional Investment Channels
The Zcash ETP has been assigned the ISIN CH1608218801, whereas the ether.fi ETP corresponds to ISIN CH1608218819. These instruments settle in U.S. dollars on Euronext Amsterdam and in euros on Euronext Paris. 21Shares noted that both vehicles are accessible via participating European financial institutions and brokerage platforms.
These offerings aim to deliver market exposure without forcing investors to buy tokens outright, open dedicated cryptocurrency exchange accounts, or handle private keys. 21Shares stated that third-party custodians securely store the underlying digital assets.
Regarding ether.fi, the ETP tracks ETHFI, which serves as the protocol’s native utility and governance token. 21Shares pointed out that ether.fi has evolved past liquid restaking to offer broader services encompassing spending, payments, borrowing, and yield generation.
Meanwhile, the Zcash ETP offers exposure to ZEC, a privacy-centric cryptocurrency capped at a maximum supply of 21 million coins. 21Shares drew attention to Zcash’s post-quantum security focus and optional shielded transactions.
This rollout expands Europe’s expanding crypto ETP sector, granting investors a way to tap into ZEC and ETHFI through established securities exchanges rather than purchasing the tokens directly.
As of the most recent market data on September 22, Zcash (ZEC) changed hands near $1,530, while ether.fi (ETHFI) traded close to $0.70.
